1. Introduction

ClipCrew.ai (the "Service") is operated by Innoverse Media LLC ("we", "us", "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights. By using or subscribing to ClipCrew.ai, you consent to the practices described here.

2. What Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and payment/billing details to manage your subscription (monthly or yearly).
• Uploaded content & outputs: When you use the Service, you upload audio/video (or provide links) for speech-to-text conversion. We process and store those files, as well as the transcripts generated.
• Usage data & metadata: We log metadata connected to your usage — e.g. timestamps, file size/type, number of transcriptions, session logs, error logs, subscription tier, etc.
• Technical & device information: If using a web/app interface, we may collect IP address, device/browser type, operating system, general location (e.g. country), and other browser or device metadata. We may use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, service functionality, and user preferences.
• Communications: If you contact us (e.g. support requests, feedback), we collect any information you provide during those interactions.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and operate the core transcription service (process your uploads, deliver transcripts).
• Manage your account, subscription, billing, and payment, and handle customer support.
• Maintain, improve, and optimize the Service (bug fixes, performance monitoring, analytics, feature improvements).
• Communicate with you: send service updates, support responses, notifications about changes or offers, etc.
• Ensure security, prevent misuse, abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access.
• Perform administrative tasks — e.g. debugging, audits, compliance with laws/regulations.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

• We will retain account information and billing history as long as your account is active or as needed for essential functions (e.g. auditing, legal obligations).
• Uploaded content and generated transcripts will be retained for a specified period unless you request deletion. After that, we will permanently delete or anonymize them.
• Users may request deletion or export of their data (see Section 8).

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data or uploaded content. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

• With service providers or subprocessors (e.g. cloud storage/compute providers, payment processors, analytics providers) strictly to provide the Service. These providers are contractually bound to maintain confidentiality and protect your data.
• If required by law, regulation, court order, or to respond to lawful requests by public authorities.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, reorganization, or similar corporate change — provided that the receiving party agrees to protect your data under terms no less restrictive than this Policy.
• Aggregate or anonymized data (that cannot be used to identify you) may be shared for analytics, research, or internal improvement purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, such as encryption (in transit and/or at rest, where feasible), access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system can guarantee complete security — while we strive for strong protection, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

ClipCrew.ai is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Your Rights (GDPR - EU / CCPA - California)

If you are a resident of the European Union (EU) or California, USA, you have certain rights regarding your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). These rights include:

• Right to Access: You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to Rectification: You have the right to correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Right to Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data (also known as the "right to be forgotten").
• Right to Restrict Processing: You have the right to request that we limit the processing of your personal data.
• Right to Portability: You have the right to request that we provide your personal data in a machine-readable format for transfer to another service.
• Right to Object: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances (e.g. direct marketing).

For GDPR (EU Users):

If you are located in the EU, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority in your jurisdiction if you believe we are not handling your personal data in accordance with the GDPR.

For CCPA (California Users):

If you are a resident of California, you have the following rights under the CCPA:

• Right to Know: You have the right to request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal data we have collected about you.
• Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal data, subject to certain exceptions (e.g. for legal or business purposes).
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale: You have the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal data. However, we do not sell personal data, as outlined in this Privacy Policy.
• Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

9. Age & Parental Consent

ClipCrew.ai is intended for use by individuals aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under the age of 13, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible.

If you are the parent or guardian of a child under the age of 13 and believe they have provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@clipcrew.ai so we can take appropriate action.

10. Cookies and Third-Party Services

We may use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, service optimization, remembering preferences, and functionality. You may disable cookies in your browser, but this might affect usability. If we integrate third-party services (analytics, hosting, payment), those services may collect and process data under their respective policies.

11. YouTube API Services

ClipCrew uses YouTube API Services. By using the parts of ClipCrew that rely on them, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and your data is handled by Google in line with the Google Privacy Policy.

What we collect through the YouTube API. Two separate things. First, if you connect your own YouTube channel to ClipCrew, we read the channel and video data you authorise so we can build clips, analytics and your creator profile. Second, we maintain a directory of public YouTube channels serving the Indian market so that brands looking for creators can find them: channel title, handle, description, thumbnail, country, subscriber and view counts, video titles and public statistics, the topic and language information YouTube itself returns, and any business email the creator published in their channel or video descriptions.

What we do not do. We do not scrape YouTube pages, download video, audio or captions, or read comments. We take no automated action on YouTube — no comments, likes, subscriptions or messages. We never infer age, gender, race, religion, caste, political leaning, sexual orientation or health from YouTube data. We do not expose YouTube data through a public ClipCrew API. Brands never receive a creator’s contact details from us.

Retention. We store YouTube API data for no more than 30 days before refreshing or deleting it, and we delete it sooner on request.

What we show brands. YouTube’s own figures are shown unmodified and attributed to YouTube. Alongside them we show our own analysis of those figures — for example which sub-topics a channel covers, how often it uploads, and which brands it has disclosed working with. That analysis is ClipCrew’s, is labelled as ours, and does not come from YouTube. It is planning information to help a brand decide who to talk to, not a certification, a brand-safety report, or advice.

Your control. You can revoke ClipCrew’s access to your channel at any time through the Google security settings. If your channel is in our brand directory and you would rather it were not, use the “Remove my profile” link in any email we sent you, or visit clipcrew.ai/creators/remove. We hide the profile immediately, delete it within 7 days, and keep your channel on a suppression list so we do not list it again.

12. Using ClipCrew from AI Assistants

You can use ClipCrew from AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude. The assistant talks to ClipCrew’s connector at mcp.clipcrew.ai. Some features work without an account: video estimates, compliance checks, public channel snapshots and directory counts. Everything else needs you to link your ClipCrew account.

Linking your account. When you link an assistant, you sign in on clipcrew.ai as usual and approve the connection. We use Stytch, our authorization provider, to issue the assistant an access token. To do this we share your email address and your ClipCrew user ID with Stytch. We never give the assistant your password.

What the assistant receives. Only the results of the actions you ask for. For example: a video’s title and length and an estimate; your clip titles, scores and the reasons behind them, with preview links that expire after 10 minutes; open campaigns; your proposals and their status; payment milestone status and amounts; creator directory details that creators have chosen to show brands; and compliance findings. Clip transcripts are used to run a compliance check but are not sent to the assistant. The assistant provider handles that information under its own privacy policy.

What we record. For each request we log the tool name, the time, the outcome and which assistant made it, along with your user ID if you are linked. For requests that aren’t linked we store a one-way hash instead of your IP address. We use this record for security, abuse prevention and limits (for example, a cap on proposals and invites per day), and we delete it after 90 days. Counters used for limits are deleted within 2 days, and clip jobs you prepared but never started are deleted 30 days after their link expires.

What the assistant cannot do. It cannot start a clip job, spend credits, take or move payments, sign agreements, or ask for card, bank, UPI, KYC or identity details, one-time codes or passwords. These steps always happen on clipcrew.ai.

Disconnecting. Go to Profile → Account → Connected assistants on clipcrew.ai to disconnect an assistant at any time. Access tokens issued before you disconnect stop working straight away.

Age. The same age rules apply as for ClipCrew itself (Section 9).

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically (e.g. when we change how we handle data, add features, or when required by law). When significant changes occur, we will notify users (e.g. via email or a notice on the website). The "Effective from" date at the top will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
